The Drop Forge Difference
Unlike common big box horseshoe sets made of cast iron or low quality steel (that often easily crack or break) Gordon Horseshoes are manufactured using the top quality Gold Standard Drop Forge process with premium AISI steel. Forging produces a unique internal grain structure that endows the exceptional strength and durability the Gordon is famous for (not the air pockets and internal voids common to cast horseshoes that cause breakage). Our LIFETIME WARRANTY backs up the Gordon’s High-caliber manufacturing. When you are pitching Gordon Horseshoes you know you are pitching with only the best quality. Learn More about Forging.

    Best flip shoe out there

Posted by Michael Taylor on Dec 29th 2015

I have been throwing Gordon's since I started pitching horseshoes and have always thrown a flip shoe . Basically because I can not throw a turn shoe. I have found that the Gordon shoe is the easiest shoe to throw a flip because of the balance of the shoe. Most shoes have a lot of weight on the tips, which causes the shoe to flip too many times or hard to control. The other thing I like about the Gordon is the toe caulk, is not as stocky or square as other shoes. Also a plus in controlling the flip of the shoe. I'm glad the the Gordon was put back in to production and I will continue to buy more. A fast note in the last thirty years of throwing Gordon's I have only broken two shoes. I have one of the original pair that I bought years ago and have given away many sets to new players to the game. Keep up with the great work of making the Gordon shoes.
